Hello and Welcome to my Collection of photos from the Blyth and Tyne and North East Persevered Railways, I hope you enjoy the photos on show they mostly range from local area, but there will be some other bits and bobs making on to here, I have planned to visit Pontypool and Blaenavon Railway South Wales, The Severn Valley Railway September Gala, as always the Foxfield Railway Summer Gala and local Galas and events at local railways and hertiage sites like Tanfield, North Tyneside, Beamish and NYMR.

Hello and Welcome, My Name as you've guessed is Owen Edwards, and I’m from Northumberland.
I’m a Volunteer at the Tanfield Railway, I also keen photographer as you can tell.
When I was growing up, I saw the last of North East Industry dieing in front of me, with the likes of Blyth Power Station, Cambois Depot and Ellington Colliery, so when i got my 1st camera i went out and recorded the Railways and Industry that is left around Northumberland and few years on I’m heavily involved with the Tanfield Railway also got Hertiage Placement at the Beamish Open Air with HSI, doing trackwork and still at it with the camera on the mainline but mostly the Blyth and Tyne and other heritage lines, you will notice with some of the heritage lines and sites, i will try and recreate the past, bad habit maybe? Never the less please enjoy my photography.
With Alcan Lynemouth Closing ive got few of the last running Trip working between North Blyth and Lynemouth, and will be after the fortwilliam workings which only have 12 months left. Sad day for NE industry.
