Interesting photos of the Central Workshops. I was part of the NCB HQ team that designed them when I was a management trainee. My first posting was as Chief Planner responsible for installing the planning and progressing system to be used. I have forgotten the manager's name when we opened the workshops, the Works Superintendent was Alan Tennick, my deputy in the Planning Department was Bob Armstrong.
