Hello and Welcome to my Collection of photos from the Blyth and Tyne and North East Persevered Railways, I hope you enjoy the photos on show they mostly range from local area, but there will be some other bits and bobs making on to here. I'm not out as much around the North East due my work taking me around the Midlands, but there is upside i do get around quite few quarry's and other industrial loctions, guess it's handy being a Shunter. i don't get chance to use my camera but where I can I do have I Pad to take some photos as long the weather is good |

Hello and Welcome, My Name as you've guessed is Owen Edwards, and I’m from Northumberland.
I’m a Volunteer at the Tanfield Railway, Chasewater Railway Also Rocks By Rail , I also keen photographer as you can tell.
When I was growing up, I saw the last of North East Industry dieing in front of me, with the likes of Blyth Power Station, Cambois Depot and Ellington Colliery,now the closed Aluminium Smelter at Lynemouth, so when i got my 1st camera i went out and recorded the Railways and Industry that is left around Northumberland and few years on I’m heavily involved with the Tanfield Railway also got Hertiage Placement at the Beamish Open Air with HSI, doing track work, moving onto Job Near Southampton as Shunter, Trackman, Depot Driver and Yard Team Leader with Arlington Fleet Services at Eastleigh Works, and now working GB Railfreight as assistant train manger, but with my two most recent jobs, I don't get the chance like I use to go out and play with the camera due to working around Midlands, but I get around some brilliant industrial locations, but my job comes first so I don't get much chance to play with my camera.
